Getting The Most Out Of Meta-Tags |

Writing meta-tagsThe title, keywords and description meta-tags are vitally important to your search engine optimisation success, but will only work if they are written properly. Every page on your site must have its own meta-tags, each written to reflect the page it is describing. Generating generic meta-tags for all the pages on your site will not help the search engines at all, and will often get your pages penalised. Search Engine users will not be able to tell what your pages are about, either, and they'll visit your competitors' sites instead. Your meta-tags must be keyword rich, but be very careful not to spam the search engines. You need to make sure that your meta-tags accurately describe the content of the page, without using keywords that do not appear in the content.
